On August 28, 2000, it became official that the City of Galveston F.C.U. became a COMMUNITY CHARTERED credit union and changed its name to COASTAL COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. The community charter now allows us to take in "persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in and businesses and other legal entities located in Galveston County". We now offer services in Galveston County who were not able to join a credit union. We have a lot to offer and know that everyone has choices when it comes to financial institutions. However, we pride ourselves on 2 items: Service and Convenience.
